HOW IS MUSIC MADE?

Do you ever wonder, while you're listening to your favorite beat, how music is made?

Not the sounds for banging on any object can make music. But when someone makes remixes or remakes of your favorite songs. How are all those sounds put together? What does it look like?

That's what is looks like. The process of making music!

Peace On Earth

The holidays are nearing. Today is Christmas Eve and tomorrow we celebrate Christmas Day. But to you, what is Christmas Day? Does it meaning represent picking the fir trees, shopping for gifts, cooking turkey or ham, bake cookies, decorate the tree, put lights up on your house, or placing wrapped presents under your tree? Billions of people all over the world celebrate Christmas. But what actually does Christmas really mean?

Christmas Day is the day Christians commemorate Jesus Christ's birth. Thousands of years ago, there was a young woman [facts prove that this woman was in her teens] that was betrothed to marry Joseph. But before they were married, she was found to be with child. Because Joseph was a righteous man and did not want to expose Mary to the public, he decided to divorce her quietly. But as he was pondering this, the Angel of the Lord came to him and told him that this child was the Son of God.

"The Christmas Story"

Luke 1

1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David;
and the virgin's name was Mary.

1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said,

Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

1:29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying,
and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest:
and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her,
The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:
therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

1:36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age:
and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.
And the angel departed from her.

Matthew 1

1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:
When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together,
she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man,
and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold,
the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying,
Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:
for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS:
for he shall save his people from their sins.

1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him,
and took unto him his wife:

1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son:
and he called his name JESUS.

Luke 2

2:1 And it came to pass in those days,
that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

2:2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

2:3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth,
into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem;
(because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

2:5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there,
the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son,
and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger;
because there was no room for them in the inn.

2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.

2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them,
and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

2:10 And the angel said unto them,
Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you;
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

2:15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven,
the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

2:16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

2:17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying
which was told them concerning this child.

2:18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

2:19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

2:20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God
for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS,
which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

2:22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished,
they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

2:23 (As it is written in the law of the LORD,
Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

2:24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord,
A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon;
and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel:
and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost,
that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

2:27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple:
and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

2:31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

2:33 And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him.

2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother,
Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel;
and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

2:35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,)
that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser:
she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

2:37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not
from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

2:38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord,
and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem .

2:39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord,
they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

Matthew 2

2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king,
behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews?
for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

2:3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together,
he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

2:5 And they said unto him,
In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

2:6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda:
for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men,
enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child;
and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed;
and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them,
till it came and stood over where the young child was.

2:10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child
with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him:
and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts;
gold, and frankincense and myrrh.

2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod,
they departed into their own country another way.

2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying,
Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou
there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

2:14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

2:15 And was there until the death of Herod:
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Out of Egypt have I called my son.

2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men,
was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem,
and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under,
according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning,
Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

2:20 Saying,
Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel:
for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

2:21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel .

2:22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid
to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth:
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

And that is what Christmas really means.

HORSE RUNS DOWN ROAD

So...yesterday while I was watching TV...we heard our dog barking at something outside. So we looked out and there was a horse. Well....because my dog was barking at it...the horse got skittish. The guy, who was walking the horse down the road, was just holding it meanwhile the horse was stomping his feet and you could tell he was pretty angry. As I kept watching, all of sudden, the horse runs down the road cause he ''gets loose'' [I really think the guy let him go but that's my opinion]. Haha! Nothing like seeing a HORSE RUNNING DOWN A ROAD!!!

Today, we had our exam pt. 1 in Science. The whole period I only got 30 questions and in Seminar, I got 11 done. These exams are just so new to me...I didn't even know how to properly fill out the paper [it seems that you just color in the bubble. Lol] So tomorrow, we'll be starting the rest of the exam and finishing the part we started today!

So...I'M STUDENT OF THE MONTH! Haha. The prize was a certificate and a pass to 5 free games [basketball, soccer...]! :D Thanks to my awesome teacher for nominating me and for all my teachers for saying a bunch of good stuff. If I remember correctly, I always turn in assignments on time, good attitude, always smiling, being a hard worker and being eager to learn! Yup...that's me! ;)

Exams

Today is my last weekend of fun! Let me explain!
Monday, when I get to school, I start my exams. Yay! So thrilling! Then I have exams the rest of the week and next week. I have to say...I can't wait for the 23rd cause that's when winter break starts! BUT, I'm dreading these exams. Although they are only 15% of your grade, if you're like me and have all A's, those A's might not be A's anymore. So, this weekend I'll be doing some chores and STUDYING!

"Unplugged"

Today during seminar, we were represented with an idea.

"Social Experiment"

400 students in Washington are set to become ''unplugged.'' For one week, these teachers, students, and staff are going to see if they can quit Facebook, Twitter, texting and CELL PHONES! This is to see if they can encourage face-to-face communication which today is almost non-existant. Most business is completed via phones, emails, or other sources of communication outside the face-to-face business. How about you? How long can you go without using any electronics [excluding music etc.] or other devices? Me? I can probably last a week but it would be hard to resist checking up on my tweets or texts.
Are you going to accept the challenge? Only face-to-face communication? The world probably just stopped.

4.0

YAY! So...today I received some completed and graded work back! I got a 100 on my egg drop lab in science which is worth 2x the regular grade. Because of that, my semester grade in science went from a B to an A! Even though all of my 2nd quarter grades are A's, I needed my Semester grade all A's too! But anyway...I've been ecstatic because of that one grade and once my dad hears it, he'll be sooo happy!! xDD
Also, I had a quiz in ASL! Uh oh. Yes, cause I DIDN'T STUDY! :'( Unfortunately, my teacher let us have a 10 min. review with our classmates or as she called them, 'peers.' But, I feel good cause I knew all the words except two. I wasn't sure if it was younger or youngest and older or oldest. I just put youngest and oldest. We'll see how I did once they get graded! Haha.

P.S. I've got a 4.0 GPA! xD

Proxy-fied

You're at school, on the computer, and you're so desperately wanting to check your tweets, FB, MySpace, or even hear some tunes on Youtube. But, its all blocked. So, the question is, "Can you get past the server?" Yes, yes you can! Its actually quite easily. There are some people who read this blog (a.k.a my MOM) that I don't want them to know some of these sites...[long story ;) ]

So...I found this ''group'' called the camoList! This group creates proxy sites daily for us high school kids. Not so much middle school...everybody knows that they are watched while surfin' the web!\
I found well over 30 different sites today which is like a miner finding gold!
Anyway...I just want to say that these sites do exist and you can watch your youtube at school for those kids who can't stand to be off the web for 7 hours [Guilty as charged]!
Just because I'm nice, I'll give ya the name's of 3 different sites!
  1. browse007
  2. remainhidden
  3. studyhallhelp
These sites will not work unless you put https:// before the name and of course, don't forget the .com!

Laurent Clerc

Here's a biography I did for one of my classes. I thought I should post it! :D
[I received an A 99% for this!]

10, October, 2010
Period. (1)
Biography for American Sign Language

"Laurent Clerc"

Laurent Clerc was born on December 26, 1785 in La Balme, France. His parents were Joseph-Francois Clerc and Marie-Elizabeth Candy. When Clerc was a young child, he fell from a chair onto the hearth in his house. He suffered a injury to his head and sustaining a permanent scar on the right side of his face just below his ear. Clercs family believe that his deafness was caused by that incident by according to Laurent, he believes that he may have been born deaf and without the ability to smell or taste.

Clerc was taken to the National Institution for the Deaf, the world's first public school for the deaf which was located in Paris, France, at the age of twelve. Under direction of the school's founder, Abbe Sicard, Clerc gained success and in 1805, he was appointed tutor and then in 1806, he became a teacher at the school.

In 1815, he traveled to England and there was where he met Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet. Gallaudet later visitied Paris to study the French methods of deaf education. Gallaudet persuaded Clerc that he should come with him back to his country to help lay the foundation of deaf-mute instruction and education and also help teach Alice Cogswell. They arrived in August of 1816 in New York and opened an asylum in Hartford, Connecticut on April 15, 1817. Clerc then devoted all his life to the school but later in 1858, when he became very sick, he retired with a pension. He had met and married a deaf-mute at the age of thirty-four. Her name was Miss Eliza Boardman, who bore Clerc several children all of which possessed speach and hearing abilities. Clerc's eldest son became an Episocopal clergyman in St. Louis.

Laurent Clerc was the first deaf teacher in America and was among the first in the whole. A proficient writer, Clerc had been called "the Apostle of the Deaf in America" before. He was the co-founder of the first school for the deaf, Gallaudet University. He also was an advocant for deaf people's rights such as the right to marry. Throughout the United States, he was also an inspiration for the spread of deaf education. Clerc had the view that sign language of the deaf was as an natural language to English and all other languages. As the first deaf teacher in America, Laurent Clerc taught 31 students in the first year of the schools opening. During all of his forty-one years of teacher, Clerc traveled all across the United States, helping to establish several residential schools for the deaf in places such as Michigan, Kentucky, Alabama, and Wisconsin.

In 1858, Clerc retired and eleven years later, he passed away at the age of eighty-four.

GPA?

In the next up-coming 2 weeks, there will be a lot of time spent in front of the textbook, for exams will be starting soon! So, for those who have exams coming, make sure you study and know the work for hard work pays off! These past 5 months of school sure have gone by so quickly! The year is practically half over! All my hard work of studying, submitting homework early or on time, and receiving good grades on quizzes and tests have been a very big highlight of the school year! I must say, even though I have a 4.0 GPA, I will continue to study so when my exams start, I will be prepared!

Something I have had trouble figuring out in the past weeks is what your GPA (Grade Point Average) is and how to figure it out for eSembler doesn't tell you! So, here's the chart and how to calculate it!

The "Scale"
  • A = 4
  • B = 3
  • C = 2
  • D = 1
  • F = 0
The "Classes & Grades"

  1. ASL 1 = A
  2. English I = A
  3. Physical Science = A
  4. Intro. to Info. Tech. = A
  5. Algebra 1a = A
  6. H.O.P.E. = A
The "Calculation"

Step 1:

Each 'A' is worth 4. You would multiply your total amount of classes by what each point of your grade is in those classes.
EX: I have 6 'A's in all of my classes so you would multiply 4 by 6 which equals 24. [ 4 x 6 = 24. ]

Step 2:

You would then divide your total amount of points [your total in Step 1] by how many classes you have.
EX: I have 6 classes, a total of 24 points. Twenty-four divided by 6 equals 4. [ 24/6 = 4 ]

My GPA for the 6 classes I take is a 4.0.

P.S. You can also visit http://www.d.umn.edu/kmc/student/loon/acad/plan/gpa.html to receive your GPA.

Hard work pays off in the end

Heyz

So...I haven't blogged in quite awhile. Therefore, I'm gonna make this an extra "long" post. (Its probably not gonna be long. lol)
Well....school has been pretty eventful. This past week I received my report card....4 A's and 2 B's. I also was placed onto the honor roll.....which was a first time for me. Pretty awesome huh?!
So....because I got good grades in the First Quarter...last night, my dad took mo to BAM (A.K.A. Books A Million)! It may sound weird, but I love BAM! There are so many books to look at, and read! Its awesome! Anyway, I found 3 books that I really liked that are part of a set called Call To Duty! I showed them to my dad and that's what we bought! I was very very very happy to add threee more books to my bookshelf. Now, I have a really nice bookshelf and I recently rearranged it and ended up needing another shelf cause I had SOO MANY BOOKS! Haha. Well.....that's all for now. Oh, before I go, I'll mention that I'll be going to a youth rally this weekend and I invited a few of my friends!! Hehe. :D (Lets just hope they'll come..... :)

Book Report

"River's Edge"
Terri Blackstock

It all starts on a beautiful little island named Cape Refuge set just east of Savannah, Georgia on the Atlantic Coast.
Morgan Cleary, owner of the Hanover House, a refuge for those who are going through a rough time and needs help, wakes up due to cramps at 3:30 a.m. Just the day before, she had been pronounced pregnant. Her husband, Jonathan Cleary, who is a running elect for the town mayor position, is thrilled by the news for have been trying for 7 years but to no avail. Morgan quickly decided that she didn't need to say anything but that was before she saw the blood. She immediately woke Jonathan up and he rushed her to the hospital but as they were
driving, they knew they lost the precious little baby.

Stricken with grief, guilt, and anger, Morgan and Jonathan wept quietly as the sun rose and shone over Cape Refuge. Later that day, Morgan tried to call one of her best friends, Lisa Jackson, the wife of Ben Jackson who was also running for mayor. Lisa also has fertility issues and has been trying to conceive for thirteen years now. She was now going through her third round of In Virtro Fertilization with her fertility doctor by the name of Alan Sims hoping that Ben and she would finally have the child of their dreams. When Morgan couldn't get a hold of Lisa, she wasn't worried for Lisa owned a business of real estate and was often unreachable.

Police Chief Cade --simply known as Cade by everyone who knew him-- came to the Hanover House the next morning to deliver some news; bad news. Once he got there, he ask Morgan the last time she's seen Lisa Jackson for her husband, Ben, had reported her missing them previous night. When Morgan told him she hasn't seen her for some time, the mystery goes into full throttle. Lisa was missing and just before
the major debate for Cape Refuge's mayoral race.

Morgan's best friend's disappearance haunted her all morning and she finally decided to drive to Lisa's real estate office and visit Rani Nixon, Lisa's partner but Rani hasn't seen Lisa either. The only thing Rani could help Morgan with it by telling her about the letters that had been mailed to Lisa from a mysterious person. The letters where written by supposedly Lisa's husband's secret lover. That he had been having an affair. Morgan was shocked at the letters but nevertheless, she convinced Rani to take the letters to Chief Cade for perhaps they might help with the disappearance of Lisa.

The next day, Rani called Lisa over and over, went to every property she could think of that Lisa might be at but to no avail. That's when she receives a phone call from a physic which she gladly answers. His name was Carson Graham and even though she didn't even know who he was, she quickly did a computer search on him and finds out that he did palm readings, astrological charts, tarot cards and even claimed that he has helped the police solve a number of cases through physic readings on the victims. When he offered Rani his services for perhaps helping find out where Lisa was by doing a reading of something that Mrs. Jackson owned, Rani liked that sound of that and decided to meet Graham at Winston's Restaurant. Rani arrived at the restaurant a little bit later with a sweater that Lisa had. Graham took the sweater and did a reading, pronouncing that Lisa was dead. That he had seen a vision of her car going into the water about half a mile east of Bull Bridge. Fear rammed into her chest again. There was no way Lisa was dead. This physic was flat wrong. Rani couldn't make herself just ignore the piece of information so she drove as fast as she could to the police station where she found out that Cade was at the site where Lisa was supposed to have shown property the day before.

After Rani told Cade all she had found out, Cade didn't want to send divers to a spot where a not to be trusted physic claimed the spot where Lisa was. Nonetheless, Cade drove to Bull Bridge just because he knew he had to follow up every lead he got. He left his car and walked through the surrounding trees to where he could see the ground up and down the river. After looking for a couple minutes and not seeing anything, he decided that the physic had lied. Just as Cade was turning back, that was when he saw them. Tire tracks dug into the river leading right into the river's waters along with shoe prints with a Nike design in the mud. He radioed the Department of Resources and got some divers to come down to Bull Bridge to search the water along with some detectives. To see if Lisa indeed was at the bottom of the river...dead.

The police searched the water and they found a car at the river's bottom. As they pulled it out, they could see Lisa's lifeless body inside the water filled car. Once the door was opened and the water all had poured out, the medical examiner immediately searched for a pulse.
Finding none, he pronounced that she was dead. The medical examiner had ruled out immediately that Lisa had not committed suicide for the marks found on her neck indicated that she had died of strangulation with a telephone cord which they found on the floor of her car. Cade tried to fit all the pieces of the puzzle together but he just couldn't figure it out. Was Ben responsible for killing his wife? Did Carson Graham murder Lisa? After all, he had known where to find Lisa. Cade went ahead and questioned Graham but found nothing useful but he was still suspicious. The only thing he could center his investigation on was the main suspect, Ben Jackson. So, Cade called the D.A and got a search warrant to search Ben's home. After entering with detectives from the State Police, they found a phone missing its cord after a thorough search. They bagged loads of potential evidence, confiscated the computer, and canvassed the neighborhood looking for anyone who might have information. That was when they found shoes. Shoes that matched that same size and print from the crime scene at Bull Bridge along with the same Nike design. The only thing, these particular shoes were popular. It didn't mean that Ben had killed his wife.

Blair Owens, the former town librarian who now owns Cape Refuge Journal, who is also Cade's girlfriend followed the investigation very closely. After all, her job was
to report and she wanted to get every bit of details she could get! She printed the newspaper with the headline, "Physic Leads Police to Body" and she put
two pictures on the front. One of Carson Graham which she pulled off of his website and the other of Lisa Jackson. She hoped Cade wouldn't be upset by the headline because Cade felt like Graham tried to get into every investigation he could and try to solve it or at least play a major part in it so he could get all the glory.

The same day, Cade was looking at the Observer's latest paper written by Vince Barr. "Lisa Jackson Found Dead - Husband's Footprint Found at Crime Scene." Cade couldn't figure out how Vince got the husband's footprint part though. None of his officers leaked the information and nobody else knew about that.
That made him wonder. As the investigation continued, he began to learn more and more.
Alan Sims was scamming his clients. He would tell his patients what was wrong with them but really it was the something else. He would then get their money that they spent. The way Cade found that out was when the autopsy of Lisa Jackson was complete, it said she had a biocornuate uterus which meant she could never have children no matter how many IVF procedures she has. That meant that Alan Sims was guilty of malpractice. Even though Cade interrogated him again, he didn't learn any more new information except that Sims refused to give him all of his patient files. The only way to get that was it the D.A issued a search warrant and the D.A wanted some hard proof...more that what Cade already had.

Cade also found out who really wrote the letters about Ben Jackson's 'affair.' It was Sam Sullivan, he was also running for the mayor position and wrote the letters hoping to make it where Ben would drop out of the race. Once Cade interrogated him, Sam confessed that he did indeed write the letters.
Not only that, Cade found out that Carson Graham was having an affair with a woman named Melanie Adam who lived around a bend in the river at Bull Bridge. Once Cade found out that piece of information, he went to Graham's but he found a shocking discovery! Carson Graham lay in the middle of the floor in his house with a pool of blood under his head. Cade checked for a pulse but he didn't find any. The physic was dead.
The police goes through all of Graham's account information and finds that someone made a deposit of 30 thousand dollars into his account.
Then Cade gets a phone call...from Sims maid, Kylie. Cade goes to meet her and finds out that she heard Sims argue with Lisa the day before Lisa disappeared. Sims had lied about Lisa coming to visit him. She really did visit him when she found out that he had scammed her. That did it. Cade went to the doctor's office, walked in and arrested Alan Sims for the murder of Lisa Jackson. Once Cade brought Sims to the police station, he interrogated him. After he way done, he turned the TV on and saw that Vince Barr was on and reporting. That was when Vince mentioned that Lisa Jackson was strangled with a telephone cord. No one but the police knew about that. How did Vince find out. It only meant one thing, Vince had something to do with the murder of Lisa Jackson. How else was he finding out this information. No one was leaking it. The only thing Cade had to do now was to find proof. And that he did. Cade went through Vince's account and found that Vince had made several small withdraws and they all totaled up to be exactly 30K. The same amount that was transferred into Graham's account. As the pieces fell together, Cade knew he had one more arrest to make. Through Vince Barr's office at the Observer, Cade was able to locate him at a local NBC affiliate. Once he got there, he found Vince and asked him where he was on the morning of May 16th, the day Lisa disappeared. As the camera's were rolling, Cade arrested Vince Barr for the murder of Lisa Jackson and Carson Graham. Alan Sims was charged with medical fraud and released on bail pending his trial as the D.A was building a rock solid case against him. Ben Jackson left the mayoral race and filed a lawsuit against Sam Sullivan. As for Sam himself, he resigned from the race. Now that the only two candidates besides Jonathan Cleary resigned, it left only Jonathan. A judge cited the city's bylaws and announced that if another candidate received over 45 percent of the votes, he would become the mayor. Jonathan received 46 percent and that made him the new Cape Refuge Mayor.

Healing Rain

On the way home from a visit to the Girl's Home, my youth director played this song. The minute I heard it I just knew I wouldn't forget it. I play this song so many times a day. Its just beautiful. The tune, the lyrics and the video can be so powerful. Not to mention that Michael W. Smith is a fantastic singer and artist.
So, take 5 minutes and 11 seconds to listen to this beautiful song.

Healing rain is coming down
It's coming nearer to this old town
Rich and poor, weak and strong
It's bringing mercy, it won't be long

Healing rain is coming down
It's coming closer to the lost and found
Tears of joy, and tears of shame
Are washed forever in Jesus' name

Healing rain, it comes with fire
So let it fall and take us higher
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
To be washed in Heaven's rain

Lift your heads, let us return
To the mercy seat where time began
And in your eyes, I see the pain
Come soak this dry heart with healing rain

And only You, the Son of man
Can take a leper and let him stand
So lift your hands, they can be held
By someone greater, the great I Am

Healing rain, it comes with fire
So let it fall and take us higher
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
To be washed in Heaven's rain

To be washed in Heaven's rain...

Healing rain is falling down
Healing rain is falling down
I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid

A Blog A Day

I'm starting a new goal today. Its publishing a blog a day for a whole year. That means, starting today [September 17th] I will upload a post every single day until September 17th 2011 comes.
Now, sometimes I will be going places in the future where it will be impossible to blog. That's why I thank Blogger for being able to post a post at a particular time. I will create a post for that day and then set the date when I want it to post. Even though I created the posts the same day, it will be PUBLISHED the day I set it to be. To me, that's alright to do.
So...join me as I start this challenge!

Church vs. Homework

Blogging in Tech:

Ok, I just found one thing I DON'T like about school. Book reports! Who does these? I'v never done one before so its really new. So, now I have to figure out a book I want to 'report' on and I also have to do another assignment like making a poster or doing a powerpoint presentation that goes along with the book I chose. Not bad right? Haha.
Also, I have to write a 200-300 word "essay" on 3 things I would like to change about myself [For P.E] and why. So I also have to work on that. UGH! I also have to do some math homework in Science. Yuck....on top of ALL of that, I have church tonight. I don't think I'll be going. Way to much homework that is due tomorrow. Church vs. Homework...wonder who's going to win?!

Book Review: Deceived

Title: Deceived
Author: James Scott Bell
Genre: Mystery

Deceived is a novel that keeps you guessing. I found it very thrilling and entertaining to read. The book is about a character named Liz Towne. The wife of Arty Town; a new transformed believer. He wants to quit his job because it deals with pornography and now that he's a christian, he want to get out with the old. She wants him to keep the job because he's about to get a huge paycheck.

Then Arty disappears. Arty's best friend, Mac McDonald who was a former Gulf War vet and also has spent some time in prison is determined to find out what happened along with Arty's sister, Roxanne "Rocky" Towne. Together they sort and separate the lies from the truths and together they find Arty's killer.

Free Thursday!

So, I'm sitting here in my tech class...I just finished the last assignment that I had to do. So, now I can do whatever I like. So, I'm updating my awesome fantastic superb blog [to many adjectives?]! Ain't ya'll just lucky?
But...I don't have really anything to write about. :( I know...isn't that just really sad?
Anyway....I'm gonna go! I got a whole entire period [bout 45min.] of free time and I'm gonna spend it! Haha

Over and Out!

No Matter What

I heard this song on the radio today and I just had to look it up! Its a very beautiful song....take a minute and watch it!

I’m running back to your promises one more time,
Lord that’s all I can hold on to,
I gotta say this has taken me by surprise, but nothing surprises you.
Before a heartache can ever touch my life,
It has to go through Your hands,
And even though I keep asking why,
I keep asking why,

No matter what, I’m gonna love You,
No matter what I’m gonna need You,
I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not,
I’ll trust you,
No matter what,
No matter what.

When I’m stuck and there’s nothing else by myself,
I’m just sitting in silence,
There’s no way I can make it without Your help,
I wont even try it.
I know You have Your reasons for everything,
So I will keep believing,
Whatever I might be feeling,
God you are my hope,
And you will be my strength,

No matter what, I’m gonna love You,
No matter what I’m gonna need You,
I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not,
I’ll trust you,
No matter what,
No matter what.

Anything I don’t have You can give it to me,
But it’s ok if You don’t,
I’m not here for those things,
The touch of Your love is enough on its own,
No matter what I still love You
And I’m gonna need You

No matter what I’m gonna love you,
No matter what I’m gonna need you,
I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not ,
I’ll trust You, no matter what, no matter what.
I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain,
But if not, I’ll trust you,
No matter what
No matter what
No matter
No matter what

Isn't Working

I'm sitting here in my Tech class.
I have 2 assignments due.
Website is down.
This really sucks.

Ok.....so...I'v been trying to open my Microsoft Excel but it isn't working, the website I need to go on to complete my assignments....its not working either. This really sucks. Another thing that really sucks is that my teacher is re-imaging the computers after school today. Anything that has been saved onto this computer will be wiped. So...I'm kinda in a delima.
BUT, do not fear. I just asked my teacher. He told me that the assignments won't be due, due to the fact that Moodle is down AND my Microsoft Excel isn't working. So...that's the brighter side of the story I guess. Anyway.....that's all!

A Tribute to Ray Mak

YouTube. When you see the word YouTube, most people think of it as a website that has funny videos, movies and short clips not to mention music videos. But when you think of YouTube, does talent ever come to mind? Do you even realize that there are people out there who has so much talent?? I have come across some extremely talented people. The one I want to mention is Ray Mak.

Ray has been playing the piano since he was a young child. Even though he has had highly educated teachers to teach him piano, he was not able to master the one crucial thing; note reading. Therefore sheet music is no use to him. But that didn't keep him back. Instead of using sight, he uses feeling and ears to create some of the most breathtaking piano covers you will ever hear. He listens and follows closely to the bass and drum beats of every song and in turn, he produces extremely beautiful music. Not only does he follow closely to the sound, he improvises alot with songs. You know, experimenting. He adds many touches to songs to make them his.
Ray is also very generous. Coming from a different background, one of his wishes are to learn the top songs from all different countries.
I personally think that Ray is one of the most kindest persons ever with a great personality. Even though I have not personally met him, I can sense it from the way he writes and plays.

Not only is he passionate of music, he is also highly experienced with the sport, Tae Kwon Do. He not only practices it, but he also teaches. I wish to say more on this subject but to be honest, I'm not very familiar with Tae Kwon Do. xD

These past few days, I had the option to favorite every one of his awesome piano covers and in return he would play the song of my choice. And that I did. But not because I could have the chance of him playing any song I requested but because I'm a huge fan. I strongly believe that everybody's dream should come true. And if I could help make it come true in any way, I would do just that. So, I spent MANY hours [and spent 2 days] watching every single video he ever uploaded and favoriting them along with saving them in my own playlist called Refresh 2.0. To be honest, I did not come across one video that I didn't like. All I saw was passion. It was amazing. Some of the videos I couldn't see him actually playing [due to his camera angle] but I sure could hear. The sounds that came from my headphones [with sound on full blast... xD] was just beautiful! But as I was saying earlier, I favorited and saved every one and in return he uploaded a cover of the song I requested...

...and he did a beautiful job didn't he?!
So, I want to just say thank you. Thank you Ray for continuing to upload beautiful videos. You are a continuing encourager. You encourage me to never give up. I myself is a pianist. All though I'm not the world's best player *grin* but I can still play somewhat. Everyday when I get home from school [If I don't go to sleep instead]I find myself going to YouTube to see if by chance there was a new video from Makhonkit. Most of the time I do....so I treat myself for 5 minutes. =)

There is also something else I would like to mention. His website. You can go on it and find tutorials, MP3 downloads, along with his bio ect. Please make sure to go and visit!
http://www.makhonkit.com/
( Make sure you save it to your favorites that way you can visit often! )

Also, please support him. If you have a youtube account, look him up and subscribe, favorite, share, and comment! He needs your support. If you don't have an account...then make one. Even if the only friend and subscriber you have is him, believe me.....its worth it! =)

Now, as I close this post I would like to say something on my behalf...

Dear Ray.
As a fellow pianist, I know the struggles every pianist goes through. I know what its like to be lost [been there and still sometimes there] and not know what to do. I also know what its like to hear someone give you a compliment. Goodness, I LOVE them! It makes you feel like you are accomplishing a great deal. And that you are. As you continue to post video after video, I can tell you have come an extremely long way. You have advanced and have gotten better and better.
There will always be people who will bring you down. Maybe with a rude comment or something of that sort. Please don't listen to them. I learned it the hard way. Whenever someone would tell me I'm good but not great, I would get an attitude. I would say bizarre things like, "I want to sell my piano" or "I quit." There have been times when I refused to play. Refused to learn. But there was always someone who would tell me that I was the best! [Thanks Dad =)] That's what kept me going. Maybe not going strong as I should, but I was going. You continue to encourage me. And I'm still going. In the near future, I hope to be able to get a video camera that way I can upload videos just like you do! You are a good role model for the piano. I hope to get better and better. I always am checking your website for tutorials. I do admit, they are a challenge because I have to figure out what the chords are (I don't know my chords. :/ ) and rely on http://www.dchords.com/ to help me with that and I also give my ears a workout with figuring out the melody but its a challenge. I'm always a competitor to challenges. So, I give you my support and many hugs. Keep doing what your doing!

Life isn't easy. Its
meant to have challenges. They shape and train you. If life for you was easy,
you wouldn't be going anywhere. You would just stay in the same spot. Challenges
are what moves you forward. - J.
H

P.S. Ray, if anything is wrong...please let me know by commenting or writing a message that way I can fix it! Thank you!

Book Review: Listen

So, I just finished a book called "Listen" by Rene Gutteridge. It was a very wonderful book and had a strong, positive message to it. The book is written to teach you a message about words. Just how powerful words are.
The book is centered on a website (FICTION) that someone created. Whoever created the website is posting private conversations that aren't meant to be listened to. People in the town are reading the website and friends are becoming enemies. People are getting hurt and even killed. I'm not gonna tell you who created the website but the person who did....you won't even see it coming. =)
So, make sure you go to your local library and find the book and read it! Its a most definite read!

OH MY GAGA!

This Song= Awesome!
These Guys = Hilarious!
All together = OH MY GAGA!

School:

Wow. Its been a week since school has started. Due to privacy (and the fact that there are still pedopiles out there) I'm gonna keep the name of my school private. =) Anyway...as I was saying, its been a whole week of getting up early, sitting through 6 periods of classes [I'll talk about that later] and then a early bedtime.
So...let's just say....today was a sleep in day. I get up during the week at 5am. Today, 7am. So, I don't think you would call that....sleepin in. LOL
Anyway....my classes are pretty neat. NOT! Lol. Here's the list
  • ASL [American Sign Language]

"The Laws"

  • Law of Mechanical Repair - After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you'll have to pee.
  • Law of Gravity - Any tool, nut, bolt, screw, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.
  • Law of Probability -The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act
  • Law of Random Numbers - If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal and someone always answers.
  • Law of the Alibi - If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.
  • Variation Law - If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now (works every time).
  • Law of the Bath - When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.
  • Law of Close Encounters -The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.
  • Law of the Result - When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will.
  • Law of bio mechanics - The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.
  • Law of the Theater and Hockey Arena - At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle, always arrive last. They are the ones who will leave their seats several times to go for food, beer, or the toilet and who leave early before the end of the performance or the game is over. The folks in the aisle seats come early, never move once, have long gangly legs or big bellies, and stay to the bitter end of the performance. The aisle people also are very surly folk.
  • The Coffee Law - As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.
  • Murphy's Law of Lockers - If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers.
  • Law of Physical Surfaces - The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor, are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet or rug.
  • Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.
  • Brown's Law of Physical Appearance - If the clothes fit, they're ugly.
  • Law of Public Speaking - A closed mouth gathers no feet.
  • Wilson's Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy - As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.

My Outdoor Photoshoot

Not super good quality but yea....this is my outdoor photo shoot. I have a lot of other ones but I didn't want to post them as they weren't my favorite. The very last 2 pictures were the ones I used for the modeling agency in November. None of these photos were photo-shopped. I plan on going to another shoot sometime in January or February of 2011.

Solving a Video Problem

OK...so all you most likely know that Google owns YouTube and has been making some pretty huge layout changes. Well....whenever you wanna move a video off of YouTube and place it on another server (a.k.a. website) you use the embedded URL codes. So....I posted another video off of YouTube onto here and they changed the height/width to 580 and 360 which is MUCH to large for Blogger...at least for my particular layout! So...what is the solutions to changing the problem? Well....I went ahead and changed to HTML codes! The particular one that works that I found is this.
Width: "340"
Height: "285"
There are two places where the height and width show up on the embedded URL format so make sure you replace each place with the correct format or else you'll have a couple "little" problems! Anyway...I just wanted to share my solutions to you that way you can keep using YouTube videos that fit your Layout Format

DON'T WASTE YOUR LIFE!

Came across this song and just fell in love with it! If you listen very closely, you can tell what the meaning is. In case you can't figure it out, the person who wrote the letter is the guy who was caught robbing the store. He wasted his life...he doesn't want the other man to waste his. I'm not sure, but the man who got away with robbing the store (as an accomplice), I have an idea it was the man that received the letter. If you know, please leave a
comment and tell me! Thanks! =)

Penpals, school...ect.

Wow! Its has been sooo very long since I last posted on my blog! That's really bad! Lol. Well, sorry for the wait. Since school it out, I'm gonna try posting much much much more often! Lol. So, this is basically an update of what's going on in my life!
First thing, SCHOOL! Well....I finished April 30th with passing grades! My prize? A beautiful Tanzanite ring that I get to go to Mexico to get! How awesome it that? Anyway....moving on!
Lately I'v gotten attached to this one website called, Interpals. Basically its a website where you make a profile and then make friends with people all over the world and maybe even exchange address' and write each other letters! =) Well, it worked for me perfectly! I have a total of 6 penpals now! Here's where they are from!
- Germany
- Colorado
- Illinois
- Conneticut
- Russia
- Italy
That is really I-M-P-R-E-S-S-I-O-N-N-A-N-T!! Which leads right into the next topic! Lol
FRENCH:
Let me just say....French is a really cool language! So...therefore I decided to learn French for 2010 in my own! I will also be learning Spanish a an elective in High School but I'm gonna get taught that so that dosen't really count! Why does French count though? Cause I'm gonna learn it by myself! =) So far I'v only learned really basic words such as;
- Merci Beaucoup (Thank You Very Much)
- Bonjour or Salut (Hello)
- Impressionnant (Awesome)
- Votre Accueil (Your Welcome)
- Au revoir [Instead of saying that I just say, "bye bye"] (Bye)

See, pretty basic! Lol. But hey....its still French! So, as I learn to prounce and spell French, I'll let ya'll know what words I learn next! Keep you updated.....lol. =)
Well....moving on! Lol
Recently my Green Thumb has gotten greener (creepy!) Hehe! Well....Lowes is definently my garden buddy! =) Hehe. I recently bought begonias, vincas, impatiens, 1 african marigold, petunias and 7 bags of soil! Well.....you go to the clearance area in the garden section and pick out the greenest plants. You buy bags of soil that has holes in it cause they are MARKED DOWN! See....you can buy a bunch of stuff and get it fro practically nothing! Its called saving! in the economy prices are going UP and not DOWN! So, how do you get a lot but spend very little.
How to do it?
- Clearence
The merchandise may have holes in it but its still good! Like bags of regular top soil. Price, (Estimate) about $1.20....cause it has holes! Only about $.60! Now that a deal! Buy the annuals at the clearance/marked down section in your garden store. Annuals do die when the freeze hits so before that happens, take several clippings off the plant (As long as they are succulents) and place them in doors in a container of water! Roots will grow but keep them indoors till all fear of frost is over! Then plant them outside in your garden! Simple and easy but saves a lot of money!
Also....the best time to go to the store is on Mondays and Tuesdays. Why? Cause they put 3x more stuff on the Clearance area! NEVER go on Saturday's or Friday's!
- Sales
Stores do have sales you know! When you go to the store, try to but items that are only on sale. When you do find things that are on sale (And are non-perishable) BUY 3x MORE! You want to stock up as much as you can but remember to always have a budget and make sure you buy only however much you can use! Example, Cereal! Its non-perishable! If its, buy 1 get 1 free, get several of them cause each box will be half of the original price! That's a deal! When you want to buy things like toilet paper or paper towels, if you look at the unit price on each price tag where the item is located, buy the one that has more quanity of the item but is the cheepest! Scott toilet paper. Don't buy the 4 pack, by the super big one! That way you ave MUCH more than what you need to buy and it will be awhile before you have to buy some more! Along with paper towels! See, simple things like clearance items ans sales at stores can save you!
- Coupons
Well...this one is very simple! Get your local paper and gather all the coupons! Go through them and save any of them that you can use! Then when you go shopping....you will save because you have coupon$! Make sure to be friendly though! Clip the ones you can't use and place them in the grocery store! That way if someone stumbles upon them, they can save like you did!
- Yard Sales
"A man's junk can be another man's treasure!" Always go to yard sales if you can! People will buy stuff cause they HAVE to have it. Then they can't use it! So they sale it next to nothing!

Well...I sure hoped you liked what I had to say! Just let me remind you, everything above I wrote myself....see how smart I am! :)
Well....you read about what's going on so PLEASE leave a comment and tell me what you think!
Merci! Well...that's all!
